Do you often feel overwhelmed, stuck, or struggling with your mental health? Counselling offers a safe and supportive space to explore your thoughts and emotions, helping you navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity and resilience. Whether it’s stress, relationships, work pressures, or past experiences affecting your wellbeing and impacting how you are able to cope with everyday life, having the right support can make all the difference. I strive to create a compassionate and collaborative space where every client feels safe to explore their needs and experiences.
I can help with:
Anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, stress, relationship difficulties, trauma, addiction, anger, body image concerns, Autism and ADHD.
I have experience working with children and young people from ages 4 to 18 in different settings, as a school based counsellor, private counselling with different charities, as a sports coach and mentor.
I often use therapeutic play as well as talking therapies and other creative interventions, such as sand trays, drawing and painting.
Are you a parent or carer worried about your child's mental health? Counselling can provide valuable support, giving them a safe space to express their feelings and navigate the challenges they face. The pressures of school, friendships, and social media can feel overwhelming, making it harder for them to cope. Having a trusted adult to guide them can help them build resilience, develop healthier relationships, and gain a deeper understanding of themselves. With the right support, they can move forward with confidence and thrive.
I can offer help with;
Anxiety, low mood/depression, school avoidance, eating difficulties, body image, self-esteem, anger, self-harm, addictions and friendships and relationship difficulties, Autism and ADHD.
I work across three locations in Bristol, where we can meet face-to-face: The Practice Rooms in Stokes Croft and Queen Square, as well as Sycamore House in Kingswood. All these locations have convenient parking nearby. I offer availability on weekdays and some evenings.
For those who prefer an alternative, I also provide online sessions via Zoom or Teams. Sessions last 50 minutes and are typically held weekly, especially at the beginning of our work together.
I provide a formal contract that outlines my insurances, memberships with professional and ethical bodies, confidentiality, and the framework for how we will work together. This therapeutic contract serves as the foundation of our collaboration. During the initial sessions, we will take the time to fully explore your needs and determine how best to address them. Our work can be regularly reviewed to ensure it continues to meet your needs.
Our sessions will be a collaborative process, and I will tailor our work to support you in the way that feels most helpful.
The cost of a 50 minute in person or online sessions are the same for adults, children and young people. I do offer limited concessionary rates, depending on availability at £35 for 50 minutes.
To begin with I advise we have an initial 30 minute online or telephone consultation, which is free. Or if you prefer to meet face to face, the first 50 minute session is offered at a half price rate of £27.
Once you are confident in the process there is the option to block book sessions at a reduced rate.
Sessions are 50 minutes and are usually weekly or twice monthly depending on the clients needs but this can be discussed in your consultation.
